Portugal held its first Co-creation workshop in the Port of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz on the 24th of October 2023.
A small group of 20 participants gathered in the Port to have insights about the Report that was set up by the Working Group for the “Planning and operationalization of power generation centers based on renewable energy sources of oceanic origin or location”.

The participants were also introduced to the MARINEWIND project and participated actively in a debate about critical aspects for the market uptake of the floating offshore wind technologies in Portugal. The group identified that a clear regulatory framework and technological maturity would be the most important enablers for the implementation of floating offshore wind technologies in the country. The infrastructure development was identified as necessary to face the growth of the value chain and fishing as the sector that can cause most conflict with the offshore wind sector.

Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming MARINEWIND Co-creation Workshops in Portugal!
