The MARINEWIND Final Conference marked an inspiring conclusion to three years of collaboration, innovation, and shared commitment to the future of floating offshore wind.

Held at the Floating Wind Innovation Centre (FLOWIC), in the heart of Aberdeen’s Energy Transition Zone, and hosted by Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, the event brought together experts from across Europe to discuss how to turn insights into action — from spatial planning and stakeholder engagement to investments needed to boost investors’ confidence, accelerate infrastructure readiness, create resilient supply chains. During the event, participants had the chance to visit the testing and demonstration facilities at FLOWIC.

More than a final chapter, this gathering celebrated the people and partnerships driving change in the offshore renewable energy sector.

A huge thanks to all the speakers, who brought great value to the discussion through their insights and expertise: Jack Taylor, Marlene Mitchell, Hugh Riddell, Ana Teresa Lima, Patrice Burnside, Diana Byonge and Elena Ghezzi.

The event provided the opportunity to present key results and takeaways from the MARINEWIND project, thanks to the interventions of Davide Airoldi, Giulia Butera, Riccardo Coletta, Ahmed Djeddi, Leonidas Parodos, Flaminia Rocca, Inès Tunga, and Paola Zerilli.
