Floating offshore wind is getting ready to scale.

But for it to happen, policy, planning, and people must move together.

Over the past years, MARINEWIND has worked with a large number of stakeholders across Europe to identify the strategic enablers needed for large-scale deployment of floating offshore wind:
✅ Reforming auctions & grid rules to unlock investment
✅ Integrated Maritime Spatial Planning & ecosystem-friendly development
✅ Standardised environmental assessments
✅ Trust, dialogue & collaboration across sectors

To support policymakers and industry, the project developed:
🔹 A methodology for optimal strike prices in CfD auctions
🔹 A tool to simulate Levelized Cost of Energy
🔹 A WebGIS with open data from five countries
🔹 Tailored recommendations & a replicability plan for Europe
