Patrice Burnside, Head of Delivery for Policy and Education at E-FWD, Elena Ghezzi, Head of Fisheries and Aquaculture at Legacoop Agroalimentare and Diana Byonge, Economic Analys at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult will engage in an insightful discussion to explore:
🔹The Maritime Spatial Planning as a solution to harmonise stakeholders needs, investigating best practices for collecting their perspectives on FOW deployment and inform the shaping of policies.
🔹 The role of regional authorities and Contract-for-Difference scheme in contributing to make floating wind more investable.
🔹 The education policies and reinvestments needed to help the transition of traditional sectors to the opportunities offered by floating offshore wind in the UK and across the EU.
The session will be moderated by Flaminia Rocca, Project Manager at APRE – Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea and preceded by a thematic introduction delivered by Paola Zerilli from the University of York, Davide Airoldi from Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico – RSE SpA and Luca Greco from Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, who will present the main results of the MARINEWIND project.
