Ferrol hosted the 2nd Spanish Co-creation Workshop on Offshore Wind Energy in Spain entitled “Barriers and Enablers for FOWT Deployment in Galicia”.

13th of March, marked a significant milestone for Galicia’s sustainable future! Within the framework of the European program MarineWind, Ferrol has witnessed an unprecedented gathering on the development of offshore wind energy in our region.

Under the leadership of the engineering and technology group Sener, the workshop brought together prominent figures from civil society, industry, academia, government bodies, and environmental associations, among others. The aim: to address the technological, environmental, and socio-economic challenges surrounding the sustainable deployment of offshore wind energy.

This conference served as a pivotal meeting point for collaboration and innovation in the field of renewable energy. Together, we explored solutions that brings us closer to a cleaner and more sustainable future for Galicia and beyond.
