🌬️The 2nd Italian co-creation workshop entitled “The responsible deployment of Floating Offshore Wind Technologies (FOWTs): false myths and impacts”, organised in the framework of the MARINEWIND project, took place on March 15th, at the premises of the Civitavecchia Harbour.
💡The workshop gathered representatives from industries, universities and research centers specialised on offshore wind technologies, as well as local authorities, fishermen and environmental associations, setting the scene for an in-depth discussion on the state of the art of offshore Wind Farms planned in the #Lazio Region.
Uncertainty of the regulatory framework, impacts on the environment and local economy and the dispelling of misconceptions tackling the deployment and social acceptance of FOWTs were the core topics of the round table, marking out the path towards the uptake of a more sustainable energy production.
The on-site event was organised by APRE – Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea in collaboration with Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico – RSE SpA and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
