👉 The MARINEWIND Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) is a multifunctional open tool that provides the various stakeholders with data and available information on Floating Offshore Wind (FOW)  for the five Labs of the project  -Greece Italy, Portugal, Spain and the UK- to shape more informed #RES policies and promote a better understanding of FOW by local communities.

🔍 Today we focus on the priority areas for the development of offshore wind farms in Greece: the 2 pilot sites in the Alexandroupolis region and the 6 areas of interest (Crete 1, Guaros, Agioi Apostoloi, Donousa, Rhodos, Patraikos). The implementation of the National OWF Development Programme is most likely to start with “Crete 1” (between Zakros and Xerocampos Sitia).
